Welcome to the website of Gunfield Hungarian Vizslas , Since 1999 we have carefully bred the Hungarian Vizsla with the aim of producing soundly constructed dogs with a steady temperament, good health and natural hunting ability while keeping inbreeding coefficients low.The bloodlines used in our breeding program are almost unique to the us in the UK . We have invested enormously into researching the top dual purpose bloodlines and then importing seven superb Vizslas from Hungary and the USA to further the gene pool available to ourselves and other UK breeders - full details of our imports can be seen here
Gunfield is a working Kennel, our vizslas are first and foremost our companions but in addition to this they work on the beating line and picking up at four different shoots. Since we began breeding Hungarian vizslas we have bred dogs who have become UK Working Test winners, UK Field Trial winner (aged 22 months), Hungarian Vizsla Society highest scoring FT Vizsla of 2007, CRUFTs qualifiers Overseas show winners, but our biggest achievement is producing many adored companions who have bought great happiness to so many peoples lives you can read about some of them on our recommendations page
We are proud to be able to offer UK , USA & Hungarian Vizsla stud dogs at stud and correctly bred and reared Hungarian Vizsla puppies for sale to work, show or companion homes. Vizslas of our breeding can be found in Show, work and pet homes all over the the UK and as far a field as Jersey, Hungary, France, Denmark, Germany, New Zealand and Bermuda and the USA.
